June 5th and 6th, 2004 - Stoney Creek
The Battle of Stoney Creek
On the weekend of June 4 to 6, the Incorporated Militia and Camfollowers participated in the Battle of Stoney Creek held at Battlefield House in Stoney Creek. It included a Regular camp, American Camp, Militia Camp, Native Encampment and Sutlers' Row.
The weekend consisted of two battle re-enactments on Saturday, one on Sunday, participation in community heritage parade and a memorial service for the crew of the Hamilton and the Scourge, 1812 American ships that sank near present day Stoney Creek.
We were able to muster 16 muskets, colour party, part of our drums as well as our Campfollowers to help with the weekend activities. We would again like to thank Sue Ramsey and the Battlefield House staff for another well organized Battle of Stoney Creek.
