School of Soldier 2005 - Fort York

On Saturday April 9, the officers and NCOs of the Incorporated Militia of Upper Canada participated in the Crown Forces School of The Soldier. It was a chance for the commissioned and non-commissioned officers of the different War of 1812 Regiments to get together to go over such things as safety on and off the field and drill. It was also a great day to meet with fellow re-enactors we hadn't seen all winter! The Fort also hosted a Historical Cooking School. The Corps of Drums were also able to get together to prepare for the upcoming season.

The Incorporated Militia would like to thank the organizers within the Crown Forces and at Old Fort York for a very professional run day.

Thanks to the Royal Scots Grenadiers for two of the images displayed below and Bill Longo (Glengarry Light Infantry) for another...
