August 28th & 29th, 2004 - Fanshawe Pioneer Village, Near London, Ontario
On August 28 and 29 the Incorporated Militia were part of the War of 1812 scenario set up by the Royal Scots at Fanshawe Pioneer Village in London Ontario. The scenario had the Americans attacking the town, pushing the British/Canadians out so that they could loot the town. The Redcoats return with reinforcements but were defeated by the action of the cannon brought by the US. The British were forced to surrender, but were able to leave the area with their colours and their arms. Of course the next day, the Redcoats are victorious and return to save the day. To help bolster numbers the IMUC went onto the field with the Norfolk Militia and Lincoln Militia as US troops, but changed back into their redcoats in the native village, to assist the Royal Scots during the second half of the afternoon battle!
We would like to thank Dave Westhouse, the Royal Scots, and the Fanshawe Village organization for taking such good care of us!
