October 2nd and 3rd, 2004 - Chatham
Faire At The Forks
On the first weekend of October we were involved with the re-enactment battles at Chatham on the Grand River. As part of the annual Faire At The Forks, two skirmishes were held on the river and two battles re-enacted on Saturday and Sunday afternoon. They were re-enactments of the battles that occurred in the area at which the great Native Chief, Tecumseh was killed.
For the Incorporated Militia Of Upper Canada, this event marks the close of our re-enactment season. We would like to thank the many site and unit hosts for setting up such a busy War of 1812 schedule for 2004 . We look forward to seeing everyone again on the battle field and in camp in 2005.
